If You Were The If You Were product line's concept was created by Deb Lemon, a mom who searched high and low for a tool to explain this to her children.
When she came up empty-handed she decided to write If My Mom Were an Octopus, a tale that depicts mom as Harriet the Octopus, who with her eight arms is able to juggle many tasks at once.
