Apparentice upholsterer Jessica and her mentor Mike are two peas in a pod; they both have a passion for the mechanics under the fabric and keeping their hands busy. Mike loves passing on his decades of experience to the next generation to ensure our mission to save the trade.

Sofa glow‑up in motion.
This piece has officially entered its transformation phase — fabric off, frame exposed, and all the satisfying steps underway. It’s always wild to watch a sofa shift from “in progress” to “can’t believe it’s the same piece.”

Every great before‑and‑after starts right here in the messy, magical middle.

This sofa’s been on a whole journey. Brought to us all the way from Bourbonnais, Illinois and the three hour drive back!

It sat tucked away in the garage waiting for its next chapter. Now look at it: fresh fabric, fresh vibe, and finally back where it belongs, adding color and comfort to the home again.

Sometimes a piece just needs a little love to step back into the spotlight.
