All of my furniture is made from Pennsylvania's quality hardwoods including red oak, white oak, black cherry, hard/soft maple, walnut, poplar, and hickory. Cabinets are often made, also, from North American cabinet grade plywood.

We had another chance to work with Hazy Construction on this house rebuild that they did. The stained maple made this simple kitchen look elegant. Standard for all of our projects is 3/4 maple veneer plywood cabinet construction, 1/2” maple plywood backs, 5/8” solid soft close maple drawers with dovetail construction, 3/4” solid hardwood (hard maple in this case), 5 piece solid hardwood door construction that are all soft close, and we finish them off with M.L. Campbell for a good looking, durable and long lasting finish. Our goal is to make beautiful and long lasting cabinets by using premium materials and skilled craftsmanship. We’d love to build for you!

A couple of projects that we’ve completed. We don’t do a ton of entryway doors but we’ve done a few and they’ve turned out really well 😊. We’ve done several stairwells over the years and just finished quoting another. Both of these projects produced great results, forged good relationships with our customers, and challenged us to grow and keep growing. Call us if we can help out with your project!

A couple of projects that we’ve completed. We don’t do a ton of entryway doors but we’ve done a few and they’ve turned out really well 😊. Another kitchen that we finished up earlier this year!! We’ve done several other projects for these great customers over the past few years—and they trusted us for this complete kitchen overhaul! That’s a responsibility that we take VERY seriously! We spent a lot of time considering layout, convenience, functionality, and style/design. We try to listen to the customers on how they will use their new space, what’s worked well with older layout and space, what could be improved upon, and see their vision of what they’d like it to look like—then we get picky about all of the small details. It’s a lot of time and effort but it’s VERY rewarding for us when the customers are very satisfied and happy with the final results. 😊😍

Here’s another one we’re pretty proud of! This was several years in the making from the first brainstorming/dreaming session to installing the final touches! These are knotty alder cabinets stained to match the customers interior doors. They wanted lots of character and that rich dark brown color so knotty alder was the perfect choice. This is not a huge space but we worked hard to maximize every square inch possible with some creative storage solutions (from Rev-A-Shelf ). We also built a decorative ceiling piece to house the island light. Creekside Granite did an amazing job with the countertops! Nic Chiappini and his crew installed the under cab lighting which adds beauty to the space. The angled walls always present a few challenges but Eric Bishop helped out with his 3D sketchup rendering of the space. So many details and a great result—that’s our job and goal on every job! Another kitchen we finished up recently with Mike Weber and Creekside Granite ! Previously this space had a peninsula which made the space feel smaller than it actually was. The cabinets ended (previously) at that current dishwasher but left several feet of unused wall and floor space. So we reconfigured their layout to maximize the space, provide a work flow and enhance the dated look. Lots of drawers and rollout trays, corner organizers (from Rev-A-Shelf ), and several pullout organizers near the stove and for the trash help make organizing a piece of cake. And—it turned out pretty nice!! We’d love to help with your new kitchen!

Finally got some pictures of one of our favorite projects from last fall! We designed this kitchen around the “hutch” style cabinet (on the right side of the first pic). We wanted it to look like the customer had the antique hutch as a piece of furniture and that we built the rest of the kitchen around it/into it. We used a wooden countertop on that section to help accomplish the furniture look. Creekside Granite made the intersection between the quartz and the wood a beautiful and natural transition. Note the door style which we made to look antique-y. The kitchen is made from solid cherry and was stained the dark color to bring out the richness of the color and grain. We couldn’t be more proud of this timeless beauty!

It’s been a crazy few months for us at AW! Here are some “in progress” pix of 3 different kitchens we’ve been working on along with some other smaller projects! We recently installed this furniture style vanity made from quartersawn white oak. Stone Kitchens provided the beautiful countertops and vessel sink tops it off so nicely! This is the spare bathroom from one of our largest projects ever (see previous post with 2 black vanities a few weeks back) so there are many pics to come with this style and color of cabinets! We mostly do cabinets these days but we still really like doing furniture! Here’s a small kitchen hutch that we delivered a few weeks ago! Space for a full sized microwave, adjustable shelves above, a kitchen sized drawer below along with 2 more rollout trays. And it’s only 24” deep, 27” wide, and 84” high. Look how nicely it fits on the small wall behind it! Call or message us if you have a project in mind!
