Did you know that today is National Make a Dog's Day? This is a Subaru holiday that reminds animal lovers everywhere to adopt a pet instead of buying a new one and to visit a shelter to see why adopting a four-legged friend will make the world a better place.

Bobby was adopted at Saving Grace in Wake Forest, NC, and is the greeter at Carolina Futons. We adopted Rudy at Blue Ridge Humane Society here in Hendersonville last December. We believe our dogs deserve the absolute best seat in the house and know a futon is the most versatile and ultimate lounge spot for your four-legged best friend!

Come visit us today to explore our collection of frames, futons, and covers that are durable and machine washable! Bobby will share a treat from his Greet Treat jar here at the store and is looking forward to dressing up for Halloween next week!

Futon Friend vs Futon Foe (which are you?)

Futon Friend:
1. My mattress is like a cloud; I never want to leave it. It's the perfect feel for sitting and sleeping.
2. Shoutout to my Otis GripStrips for keeping my mattress in check (free with any frame at Carolina Futons).
3. Converting my futon frame is a breeze. I can do it with my eyes closed (okay, maybe not, but it's still easy).
4. I love that my futon is like a superhero, saving the day with its comfy seating and sleeping powers.
5. I’m so glad I didn’t have to assemble my futon frame (even though it didn’t look complicated). It was delivered to my home, along with the cover already on my mattress and set up in my room.

Futon Foe:
1. My mattress is like a deflated balloon; it's so uncomfortable and not suitable for sitting or sleeping.
2. Why does my mattress think it's a slip 'n slide? It's always slipping off the frame when we sit down or get up.
3. Converting my futon frame is like solving a puzzle, and I'm not exactly a puzzle master.
4. My overnight guests are like, 'Uh, can we just sleep on the floor instead of this futon?’
5. Assemble a futon frame and actually read the directions? No thanks. I don’t have the tools or the desire to put together a futon frame and don’t want to bother with putting a cover on the mattress and setting it up.

If you're a futon friend, congratulations! If you are a futon foe, Carolina Futons can make you a futon friend. In fact, we'll be your BFFF (Best Futon Friend Forever)! Your friends and family will thank you.

I love it when a customer orders a custom size cover and it fits perfectly! After several conversations and careful measuring, we were able to order the correct size for this customer's futon that she purchased several years ago. We were both thrilled how well the Boca Raton indoor/outdoor cover from CottonBelle fit on her futon and complimented her frame!

This customer's dog had trouble getting up on her high couch, so she purchased a Wall Hugger frame, which is 11 inches high from the floor to the seat deck. This was perfect for her small pup to jump up to his pet bed! The photo shows the full Canby Wall Hugger in Warm Cherry, OtisBed Sedona Dual-Comfort futon, and Siscovers Padma Federal cover.

Do you have a small space and need comfortable seating that easily converts to a bed when rolled out from the wall? One savvy customer created a cozy area in her tiny home using the full Studio futon frame, Northampton futon, and a Sis cover that is machine washable (a must when you have a pet in the home!). The couch depth is 38 inches and the length is 74 inches (bed width is 54.5 inches). Smart and attractive!

Wishing you a wonderful Easter Monday filled with sunshine, joy, and new beginnings! My granddaughter, Cherris, drew this picture for me, and I wanted to share a quote on this fine day.

"Nothing is so strong as gentleness, nothing so gentle as real strength."
