Some of our favorite memories aren't made in the living room—they happen in the kitchen.

The extra hands helping prepare a meal.

Kids sneaking a cookie.

Friends gathered around the island long after dinner is over.

Beautiful cabinetry is important, but what matters most is creating a space where life happens.

If you're enjoying a little extra time with family and friends this weekend, we hope it's in a home that brings everyone together.

Summer is the season for gathering with family and friends, and it got us reminiscing about a few of the wet bars we've had the opportunity to work on and design over the years.

A thoughtfully designed wet bar can add so much to a home...whether it's for entertaining, making your morning coffee, or simply keeping everything organized and within reach.

No two homes, or homeowners, are exactly alike, and that's one of the things we enjoy most about what we do. From rustic gathering spaces to clean contemporary designs, every project is created to fit the home and the people who live there.

Which style can you picture in your home?

One thing we've learned after 25+ years of designing kitchens...

You don't have to choose between painted cabinets or natural wood.

One of our favorite combinations is painted perimeter cabinetry paired with a stained wood island. The painted cabinets help keep the space feeling light and timeless, while the wood island brings warmth and becomes a natural gathering place.

It's a look we've loved for years because it feels welcoming today and will still look beautiful for years to come!

Would you choose painted cabinets, natural wood, or a combination of both?

This kitchen was made for summer!

Open the doors, enjoy the view, gather with family and friends, and make the most of these beautiful Gorge weekends.

We loved collaborating with Ashley | Hood River Interior Designer and Trever J Phillips Construction to help bring this home to life.

Here’s to sunshine, good company, and making the most of a beautiful Gorge weekend. ☀️
