Had to make a run to East Texas today and finally got to stop at Bodacious BBQ Hallsville, Tx . I’ve been keeping up with them on Instagram for awhile and had heard how good their bbq was. I was not disappointed! Tried the brisket, pork steak, sausage and boudin. I really enjoyed every bit of it. The owners are super friendly and it’s a nice clean atmosphere. Looking forward to going back again soon!

Here’s a smoker trailer I recently built for a customer. I built him the smoker a few years ago and he decided it needed to be on a trailer. He’s ready to roll!

The Smokeslinger Smokeslinger did it again! This pit cooks amazingly well! Beef ribs, pork ribs, sausage and a smoked burger. Good eatin today!

Just happened to be passing through Allen, Texas today and remembered there was a bbq joint I’ve been wanting to try. Stopped in at Vaqueros Texas Bar-B-Q and was really impressed! The hospitality was first class and the bbq was delicious. Opted for their “Old School” Chopped brisket sandwich special and a birria taco. Really good bbq sandwich and the taco was excellent as well. Trey sent me to the pit room and Zack gave me a tour of their cool pit room. I definitely need to go back again and try more of their bbq. Thank you to Trey and his staff for making me feel so welcome! That’s how you do Texas Bbq!

Just when I thought the burger at Pustka Family Barbeque couldn’t get any better they go and mix in jalapeños and cheese to the patty and add some crispy bacon and a thick grilled onion slice and their Special burger sauce! Unbelievably good! Don’t miss this Friday burger special if you see it again! Or just show for the bbq. Either way you won’t be disappointed!

My first stop at Deep South Bbq food truck certainly won’t be my last! Chet and his crew have that southern hospitality and the bbq was outstanding! The brisket, turkey, Thingamajigs(poppers) and the banana pudding were delicious! Follow them on Facebook for times and locations. You won’t be disappointed!

I think my family is making fun of me but I’m claiming the title of BBQ KING for today at least!

A huge thanks to my friend Josh PunkRockJoshTXBBQ for snagging me a signed copy of Evan’s Evan Acosta LeRoy LeRoy and Lewis BBQ and Bar new cookbook at a book signing at Zavala's Barbecue ! I’ve eaten at his restaurant once and it was a great experience. Can’t wait to dive into this cookbook and try some of his recipes.

Testing and seasoning a new smoker I just finished up. Cooked some shish-k-bobs while I had the fire going. This little 94 gallon pit cooks like a champ!
