A little delayed in progressing on these two pieces, but I did manage to get the drawers all fixed on the small nightstands with new glides and securing the drawer rails.
I also managed to prime and get on a coat of paint, however is not the "red" I wanted, so I got a new red and that will be my next coat. They actually painted up better than expected. Maybe tomorrow!! Still keeping the theme under wraps in case it doesn't work out.
Fingers crossed I can pull it off.

P.s. Bombay chest has tinted primer coat, but needs more bonding glaze putty in a couple of spots. For sure that tomorrow.

A lot of sanding and priming today. Still more sanding to do and more dents and dings to take care of. The Bombay chest had these huge gouges as part of the original design. They looked like claw marks to me. They had to go, along with a lot of manufacturer "design" holes. Yuck!

Started two projects today. Still in the prep stages. I have a good idea of what I'm going to do, but keeping it under wraps for now as they are kind of ambitious and want to see how they evolve! If they don't turn out, I'll just start over!!!

Finished these up last night. I actually added a tinted polyurethane coat and I really like the new lighter look then I had before. These are wedge tables by Bassett and are designed to fit between 2 chairs for a sleek space saving design. They have a drawer on one side and a little pull out shelf on the other and can be placed either way. What do you think?

Working on these basset wedge tables. Was going for the pottery barn affect, but they are a little too dark. However, still more modern than what they started out looking like. Still some highlighting and poly to go on the second one, but should be ready to list by Monday.

Well, I found this pair of nightstands on marketplace to maybe pair with a dresser I have that's not moving , and I know I overpaid for them. They are completely the wrong style to pair.
It was so weird when I got there she just started loading them in my truck. I looked at one at least and said oh wow, they're kind of small. In the meantime she went in the house and got the other one and loaded it. I went ahead and paid her. Now I know I've overpaid and now I'm obsessed with what to do with them to make a couple of bucks. But then I think what if you go all artistic and make them super cute, but probably a waste of time. I have whimsical, Cat in the hat, flower power, so many ideas but none I have landed on. I do think child's room for sure.
What would you do?

I'm so excited. I just finished these for my client Rhonda McGill Goldsteen, and she loves them! It's only my second commissioned piece and so far I'm 2 for 2! It's so rewarding to have your clients love your work.
Yes, I used AI to stage them, but the AI picture actually is the best visual of the actual color. My client picked this Sherwin-Williams color and it looks just awesome!

Excited to say I'm almost done with these cool nightstands. Took a few extra days but had to spend extra time on one of the sides! Learned a lot for sure. Failing, peeling MDF is no joke. Glue, wood filler, hot iron, bondo... you name it, I tried it, but finally got it to work. Gonna be great. Hope my client loves them. Final reveal coming soon!!
