This was definitely a "Project Piece" and while it was a FBMP bargain at only $20 the time required to make it usable again has definitely made it more valuable.
It is SOLID Oak and dated 1963. A drawer was missing and 2 large holes cut into the back panel were a challenge for sure. As you can see I had to take apart the back frame in order to replace the wood slats that had been cut into. And instead of building a new drawer, which would never have been a perfect match, I opted to add a shelf to what was left of the old drawer base.
Then I did a paint and stain combo with a beautiful wallpaper to tie it together.
The result is definitely what I had visioned 3 years ago when I first picked it up, but I do not think my skill set from 3 years ago could have done it.

Back on furniture. I received these 2 end tables for FREE!
Mind you they were already broken, so definitely not put together for a before photo. Starting with repairs and some stripping. 🙃

Well FedEx gave me a big surprise today. The new Silk line was scheduled to arrive on Monday the 18th. Next thing I know I get a notice it was coming today. So I ran to The Shops at Painted Tree, Kingwood to unbox them in time for the weekend.
Just wait till you see these new Dixie Belle Paint Company Silk colors!!! Let's get painting y'all 🤠
