This was a wild one. A cedar lined chest made by Lane. The original finish was done around the time that spray-stains and tinted lacquers were becoming more commercial, giving cheaper species of lumber a new way to be appreciated. Wasn't sure how it would turn out, but this customer was super happy! She said it looked like she remembered it years ago.

Amazing what a faux finish and some new hardware can do to a set.

Beware of those plastic/silicone/vinyl furniture protectors! Unfortunately, you can end up causing more damage than you will preventing it with those. But if you do, you know who to call.

I have been so excited to share my latest project with everyone. This was likely my biggest order to date, at 33 tables, all refinished in just 3-1/2 weeks for a local restaurant in Houston.
