Many kitchens and food businesses are working together with microentrepreneurs to help access, prepare & send food to the right places in accordance with priorities, needs, business practice, food code and service requirements.
there are protocol, procedure & communications needs, by default as well as right now, for people who HAVE FOOD and NEED FOOD. this is not a criticism but a touch on some things to consider as these folks adapt to make their work reach even more as effectively as possible.
a HOUSTON FOOD DONATION FORM came out today. it's going to assist all of the above as LICENSED FOOD DISTRIBUTORS, KITCHENS & FOOD TRUCKS in expanding, unifying & impacting. we are extra motivated by what these folks have developed.

We're thrilled to announce the Institute for Justice has come to the city of Houston, TX today to get involved with our mobile food community! IJ has worked with food truck owners across the country in multiple markets, scoring major victories in New Orleans and Washington, D.C., where the city’s mobile food laws prevented food truck owners from being able to earn an honest living.

Houston Chronicle: Let food trucks operate downtown
Instead of the usual Metro buses and commuter cars, the streets around City Hall weekend before last were a playground of multicolored creations, with the seventh annual Via Colori Street-Painting Festival bringing some vibrant hues to downtown's gray potholes ("Art doesn't last but good feeling will linger on," Page B2, Nov. 19). Around 200 artists decorated the streets with chalk designs ranging from Disney characters to geometric landscapes, and one work that can only be described as "N**e Einstein," all as a fundraiser for the Center for Hearing and Speech.

"Houston City Council’s debate over food truck regulation may seem like a minor issue, but it is the small things that shape the large. Houston, of all places, should recognize the importance of a competitive marketplace. Houston should give food truck entrepreneurs a chance to deliver a better tasting future." http://blog.chron.com/goplifer/2012/10/food-trucks-deliver-creative-destruction/
Food Trucks Deliver Creative Destruction
At issue is whether one set of honest, hard-working small business owners with capital invested in their brick and mortar restaurants deserve protection from the city against another set of hard-working small business owners armed with an innovative new business plan. That’s it. The rest of the ar...
