Hello everyone, who is ready for the next Houston Modern Market?

I am honored to have known the late great architect Donald Wexler AIA. He taught me much, not just about architecture but of, principle, honor, and friendship. Here he sits at his desk in his office just weeks before it was closed as we reminisce over his decades of work including the famous Wexler Steel Houses. Behind him is a picture of the Dinah Shore House. The rendering shows his popular folded plate roof. Don, you made a huge impact on architecture, and the lives of so many. You are missed my friend.

Mod of the Month this Sunday, Jan. 22 All Houston Mod members, friends and followers are welcome at the Mod of the Month open house event this Sunday. Help us find new preservation-minded owners for these two fascinating vintage modern/contemporary houses located in the Willow Meadows and Meyerland areas of Houston.

Nydia Tapia-Gonzales of Harlingen, founder of RGVMod, and Houston Master Mod Stephen Fox will lead a tour of outstanding sites of mid-twentieth-century modern design in Edinburg and McAllen, TX on January 27-28. This is a follow-up event to last year's well-received Río Grande Valley tour in Harlingen and Brownsville. We hope you can join us!
