Oops I started a substack! This is my 4th LikeMindedObjects World ~~ a place where I get to share my work and DIY family life and material research and construction projects and behind the scenes product design processes and waste facts and recycling facilities and and and….

Today I posted about bringing 3mo old Juniper along to our construction project, Materials Sourcing w help from architect pal Liam Turkle liamturkle, Cousin Camp backyard cyanotype prints and inspo (Gatherwild Ranch Andrea Bergart Margot Becker hannaH Black ) and generally why I’m reengaging Substack. I think my reason is largely bc that now in newborn phase again and taking some space from teaching , this feels like a place my teacher/writer brain can be, explore, share , instead of always just showing the final product or project outcome images in this Instagram world, LMOW can be a little looser, more personal and journey based.

Delighted to show this Denim Fringe Rug, made in collaboration with .institute , and a number of other LMO pieces, within Sense Of Place , an exhibition curated by & architect in his newly built and beautiful Ohayo Mountajn House ❤️❤️❤️

The Fringe Rugs were one of the first collections of upcycled design objects KI & I developed together back in 2016/17, since then the fringe rugs have taken many shapes, patterns and dimensions , but always made of a combination of reclaimed jeans and billboard flexi/vinyl, responding to the overwhelming amount of international second hand clothing flooding the markets in Ghana . My Mycelium Foam Almost Nothing Lamp is in the SHINE show up through May 20 ☀️ I started working w this material while pursuing anti petroleum based upholstery foam solutions during a design fellowship w mycelium innovation hub and couldn’t resist highlighting the glowing semi transparent visual texture of the foam when revealed with light.

Six custom Almost Nothing Pendants for upstairs dining room we made this summer 💡❤️ made of bent, welded and powdercoated steel rod and stretched w vintage white blouses — I love how the layered fabrics and seams create almost a stained glass like pattern across the illuminated form- currently sketching more forms for almost nothing lamps in 2026 and have some Deadstock fabric sourcing to do 😜 reach out to discuss customs , the skies the limit w this steel rod / fabric combo forms , I really enjoy making these :)
