Here is a quick overview of our services. We do not cut down trees, haul logs off site, or remove stumps and roots. We mill onsite with a wood-mizer LT40. Preferred wood is no larger than 36" in diameter and no smaller than 16" in diameter. Ideal tree trunk sections are generally 8' in length. We cannot mill wood with decay

We save and reuse as many of the amazing local hardwood trees from the area as we can. This White oak slab is 100” long and averages 34” wide. As a center slab it shows amazing quarter sawn grain throughout the entire slab. The 5 inlaid bow ties hold the checks from movement and are also quarter sawn white oak. All cracks and knots filled with black epoxy resin. Available on the website link in bio.

I’m often asked what do I put in these knot holes or cracks on these tables. Here’s an example of a product that we use and I try to explain why I chose to use it for this project. This is a pretty amazing center slab of White Oak. It is just full of quarter sawn Grain It’s gonna be pretty amazing.
It’s been awhile!! But this slab was just way too amazing to not showcase in such a way. Deep in the throes of summer staying warm is our middle name. But this table is hot hot hot. There’s nothing better than a go, baby. go on a Monday to get your week riding clean. We’ll see you next time.

Well everyone it’s finally happened. The city has closed the exit on RAYMOND and I 65 south. If you’re coming from the north side of Indianapolis, the westside, dwtn, or pretty much most of the city for some premium recycled Indianapolis Urban Lumber. Please go to the next exit which is Keystone. Take a left. come back up to Raymond Street and turn right come right down to Sherman and you’ll find us in the same old place. So sorry for the inconvenience but maybe they will figure out how to make that exit make some sense. I know it’s been a little wild for most of you to get here anyway the whole time. Founded in 2017 Indy Urban hardwood is one of Indianapolis best sources for kiln dried hardwood. All of our lumber is recycled and sourced from the local community. We are open to the public for wood sales and we also design, build and make custom furniture all over the greater Indianapolis area.
