Built around the character of burl wood.
This 85-to-100-inch Lotus table combines bird’s-eye maple with two different elm burls and alternating inlays. Every section of the radial design had to remain aligned as the table moved from its closed form to a complete, larger circle.
Move through the photographs to see the table closed, the leaves separated and positioned, the finished expanded top, and the details of the center and border. The Corbel base gives the completed table the presence it needs at this scale.
