Hayden Custom Woodworks Veteran Owned and Operated

Custom woodworking and handcrafted furniture, built to your exact specifications.

Since I was young, growing up in my father's footsteps, I have always loved woodworking and custom fabrication. It's very disheartening to see how expensive and cheaply made the home goods and furniture offered in big box retail stores is. That is why I decided to use the skills my father taught me to make superior quality home goods and furniture for my home and family, saving thousands of dollars and building myself a far superior product. I started building for close family and friends, all of whom strongly recommended that I reach out to others who may be in the same situation I once found myself in, overpaying for inferior products. The pieces I create are not only beautiful, but they are built to outlast the mass-produced items you find in most retail stores. The custom pieces that I design, and build, have the potential to be passed down from generation to generation. My mission is to create furniture that fits your specific wants and needs. I don't base my designs off plans, my designs are based off of my extensive knowledge of woodworking. I will design and fabricate your ideas to the exact dimensions, specifications, customizations, and colors you want to include, making it a truly unique piece that you and your family will cherish for years to come.

“The Better Half.”

I Built this custom end table for my wife, and while it may be small, there’s certainly no shortage of character!

Ash legs, walnut trim, and a geometric top featuring walnut, mahogany, and maple. Four hardwoods, each bringing something different to the table. Literally.

Between the intricate geometric pattern in the top, the flowing curves of the legs, and all the other little details, this project turned out to be far more challenging and time consuming than its size would suggest.

But that’s the thing about woodworking… sometimes the smallest projects demand the most attention.

A little creativity, a lot of patience, and plenty of lessons learned along the way.

However, this is only the first of two! Now, that the wife’s table is finished, it’s time to start on mine.. just wait until you see what I have planned for the next one!!

🎄2026 CHRISTMAS COMMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN!🎄

This Christmas, give your loved ones something that wasn’t pulled from a shelf. Give them something made specifically with their needs and wants at heart.

Hayden Custom Woodworks is opening a limited number of custom commissions for the holiday season, and I’m trying something a little different this year!

Rather than building products and hoping to find buyers, I’m inviting you to help create the collection itself!

You bring the idea. I’ll bring it to life.

🎁 WHAT CAN WE CREATE?

From small, thoughtful gifts to one-of-a-kind furniture:

🪵 Cutting boards, serving boards, and coasters

🪵 Phone/tablet stands and desk accessories

🪵 Bookmarks, keepsake boxes, and kitchen accessories

🪵 End tables, coffee tables, shelving, and custom furniture

🪵 Or something entirely different!

These are just ideas, not limitations. Personalization may also be possible!

🎄 HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

By gathering multiple commissions together, I can coordinate my material purchases, reduce my sourcing expenses, and dedicate more time and resources to the design and production.

Simply put, the more efficiently I can source my project materials, the more value I can provide and put into your project!

⏳ AVAILABILITY IS LIMITED!

Remember, it’s just me, the number of commissions I can accept depends on project sizes, complexity, and existing commitments. My priority is ensuring every accepted Christmas gift is completed on time without sacrificing quality.

📩 INTERESTED? LET’S TALK!

Send me a private message with your idea! There’s absolutely no obligation to inquire. I’ll begin gathering requests now, with an initial planning window through October 31st.

❤️ Not shopping for a custom gift? Sharing this post could connect me with someone who is!

This Christmas, skip the mass-produced gifts and give something thoughtful, meaningful, and built to last.

Another one off creation, bringing a client’s vision to life through thoughtful design, premium materials, and attention to every detail.

Fully custom walnut media credenza designed and handcrafted specifically for a client’s golf simulator and entertainment space, balancing beauty with functionality.

The rich, natural walnut takes center stage, highlighted by a substantial solid walnut top and carefully selected grain patterns throughout.

The cabinetry sits a custom solid maple base, finished with Rubio Precolor Intense Black and Rubio Black Oil Plus 2C to create the bold, industrial appearance of blackened steel while maintaining an entirely wooden construction.

Premium Blum undermount soft-close drawer slides and Blum soft-close inset hinges provide smooth, effortless functionality. A wood-grain leather-lined drawer adds a subtle touch of luxury, completing a piece where even the smallest details matter.

I don’t believe custom furniture should be built to simply fill a space. It should be designed to fulfill a need, reflect someone’s personal style, and complement the way they live.

Every client brings a different vision, different expectations, and different needs. My job is to transform those ideas into something tangible, functional, and uniquely theirs.

No mass production. No one-size-fits-all solutions. Just intentional design, honest craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

This isn’t just another piece of furniture. It’s something created specifically for someone, built to serve a purpose, and crafted to be appreciated for generations.

That’s what custom means to me.

Built to serve. Built to last. Built for you.

For over ten years I’ve been sharing my woodworking journey with thousands of people.

I’ve shown my projects, my mistakes, my successes, and my long days in the shop.

But there is something that I have never shared with you.

I’ve lived with psoriasis for more than 15 years, and it has perpetually gotten worse over time.

Every day, my hands are itching, cracked, bleeding, and in constant pain. Some days are more manageable, while others make even the simplest tasks incredibly painful.

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you likely never knew.

Not because I chose to hide it out of embarrassment, I simply never wanted it to become my identity.

Every piece of furniture I’ve built, every video I’ve filmed and shared, every handshake I’ve offered, I have done it with these hands.

The reason I finally chose to share this, is to remind you that everyone is carrying something you may never know and/or will never see.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy.

It’s simply a reminder that most people are fighting battles you know nothing about.

If you’re carrying your own burdens today, remember that you’re not alone. More people than you realize are quietly fighting battles of their own.

So keep your head up. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Don’t let your circumstances define your character, and don’t be quick to judge someone else’s.

We all have struggles and we also have the ability to choose how we face them.

The strongest people aren’t those who live without struggles, they’re often the ones that quietly refuse to let those struggles define who they want to become.

It’s rare to see a freestanding porch swing hanger incorporated into a deck, but that’s what my parents requested, and I made it happen!!

Without the ability to set the posts in the ground with cement, I removed a few deck boards, screwed the posts directly to the joists, and then added blocking to stiffen up the joists and secure the posts.

Once the deck boards were cut to fit around d the posts and installed, I used a 2x6 to add a few 45° braces on the front and backside of each post..

These are the types of projects that I really enjoy… I know my parents will give this swing a lot of love, and I couldn’t be happier.
