Mission Moment for Wednesday.
Well, we spent 5 days at my friend`s cabin on sugar creek last week. It was amazing. All the weather was amazing. The warm sun, cool mornings, rain, all of it was wonderful. I was sick but it was better to be sick out there than at home on the couch.
So this post will be for all this week. As I was too tired to post, from recuperating from being sick.
We went to Lebanon Walmart and got an entire van load. Somehow everyone knew and everything was gone in a few hours.
A caseworker used our supervised visit room.
We picked up at C-ville Walmart on Tuesday. All that is also gone from the cubbies. Please remember that those items are for everyone. Do not take an entire box of items. If the cubbies are full that means no one has been there yet so do not be greedy.
We picked up bags of used clothing in C-ville, then picked up some blankets.
We delivered food in C-ville.
A mom picked up food on Tuesday.
We got a knee scooter returned and someone already needs it.
All that was Monday and Tuesday.
Today, an older lady came in for a shower chair and toilet paper.
A couple picked up a couch.
A gentleman picked up a lazy boy chair for his handicapped son.
A young mom of 2 came in for pjs, jeans, shirts, hoodies, shoes, and socks and food for her kids.
An 87 year old man just moved to Ladoga from Montana. All he had was a bed. So with help from our good friends Drew and Donna, we took him, a couch, lazy boy chair, 2 end tables, 2 lamps, pots and pans, silverware, sheets, comforter, set of dishes, hangers, 3 hand towels, bath towel, 6 wash cloths, 3 baking dishes, walker, shower chair, and food.
Then a caseworker brought in a client, mom of 4. She was given, crock pot, 6 sets of sheets, 10 pairs of socks, 2 pair shoes, 8 pair of underwear, lunch bag, 16 rolls of toilet paper, 3 body wash, 5 pairs of jeans, shampoo, conditioner, razors, dish soap, sponges, 3 deodorants, laundry detergent, a cleaner and food.
An older lady came in and took a couch and 3 blankets. They put the couch on top of their van. Hope they made it home.
Our food pantry is very low. We are trying to hold out until November when several companies have food drives. Please give to these drives as they help all of Montgomery County by providing food to several pantries. Or you can leave food items at the Ladoga Gas Station and Dollar General in the donation boxes. You can also call us for an appointment to drop off or we will pick up.
We could also use silverware and bath towels.
All that involved loading, unloading, recording, and putting away.
Messages were taken care of and appointments made.
We were very busy. Wore me out. We have no appointments tomorrow or Friday. But I will check messages and that could turn into a 6 hour day.
We now have 2550 followers.
Until next time: Pray for someone who does not know Jesus.
