Love this!
We offer vintage furniture and home decor. We have opened a little shop at Wildwood Antique Mall, Lakeland, FL. And I am loving doing it. I LOVE what I do.

After a few years of being idle, not painting furniture at all, Vintage Whimsies has taken a new direction. We focus on vintage items, collectibles, Fitz & Floyd -- almost anything we see as beautiful or fun. It is truly a labor of love -- if I don't love an item, I don't buy it. After a few years of being idle, not painting furniture at all, Vintage Whimsies has taken a new direction.
In November we opened a new little shop at DECADES RECLAIMED in South Lakeland. Decades Reclaimed focuses on architectural salvage, farmhouse, handpainted signs, rustic decore.
We focus on vintage items, collectibles, Fitz & Floyd, milk glass, furniture -- almost anything we see as beautiful or fun.
It is truly a labor of love -- if I don't love an item, I don't buy it. And I am loving doing it.
Hopefully, we can expand our space and start painting furniture again. But for now, This is what we do.

Here is pretty much what I do. I take pieces of furniture that have virtually no future but the dump because they are scarred or damaged, then I sand them and I let them sit around my house and I look at it every time I pass. Then one day it "tells me" what to do to it and I begin to see the hidden beauty -- and I try my best to bring out its unique beauty.
Pretty much what Jesus has done for me. :)
That's all. I just salvage pieces that would have been trashed because they are ugly, just waiting for a makeover.
As far as the floral pieces I do, each and every one of them has parts that have been redeemed and upcycled.
I LOVE what I do. I love going to garage/estate sales and bringing home little treasures that someone loved and enjoyed and now we can make it into another little something someone else may love.
I hope what I do blesses you. I hope you see something that you want to keep and pass on.
