I've pared down the number of Interior Designers I work with as finding those who understand that just because it can be drawn doesn't mean it can be built is rare. Lilly from LG Dsigns conceptualized this build that I was privileged to be a part of. Coordinating multiple trades; electricians, painters and granite companies and keeping everyone in sync and focused on a common goal can be a herculean task. I think the results speak for themselves.

To get the desired look of grain matched cabinetry AND counter tops the granite had to be rotated and cut as some obtuse angles. The additional pull out shelving under each vanity along with the oval vessel sinks and the high tech faucet really make this proiect stand out.

As proud as I am with the refacing work on the existing cabinets, as well as the fabrication of the new doors and drawer fronts, the winner of this bathroom remodel really goes to John from Infinty Stone. Gorgeous granite counter tops, laser cut to fit perfectly, a new Kohler under mount sink and the gorgeous waterfall faucet. As good as this turned out, wait until I show you the Master...

I am in the middle of building three bathroom vanities and I had BIG plans today. I was going to fabricate all of the drawer boxes, finish making the doors as well as the drawer fronts. Well...I got some of that done but the majority of my day was taken up with the very very tedious task of grain matching. Trying to make it look like each vanity came from one big piece of wood. So, instead of getting three vanities done like I had planned, sadly I finished only one. But, that's OK, because I have BIG plans tomorrow...

There is a direct correlation for me between the enjoyment of furniture fabrication and the quality of the client. This client epitomizes this theory. Always with a big smile she asked if I could take a store bought length of butcher block and turn it into a table to be used for her sewing hobby. Open to all of my ideas, modifications as well as custom legs, here's what the end result looked like after we delivered it this morning.

It would probably come as no surprise that I think painting real wood cabinets should be a crime. But I am open to updating and modernizing cabinetry which can be accomplished with refacing. Add new door and drawer fronts, soft closes hinges and soft close drawer slides, Full length drawers that accommodate the plumbing and an additional pull out drawer in the lower section of the cabinet. Here are the before and after pics.
