The heat has made getting work done this summer tough, but I was finally able to finish this beautiful piece. This is an Ethan Allen Tallboy from the Heirloom Collection and is probably the heaviest, sturdiest, well-made piece we've worked on. They really don't make them like this anymore. I wanted to brighten it up from the traditional nutmeg color (see last photo) but still appreciate the beautiful wood grain. After lots of trial and error, I ended up using Dixie Belle Voodoo Gel Stain in Au'Natural and Tabacco Road to create this lightened natural color that gives an updated look to this classic well-made piece. We also cut down the boxy base to give it a little more shape and finally added the oil-rubbed bronze hardware which creates a great contrast to the light wood. With 3 large drawers this would be a great addition for storage that doesn't take up a lot of floor space. Check out my listing on Marketplace or message me for details. Please like and share if you don't mind, it helps get my work seen.
