Small businesses are the backbone of our community, but right now, times are incredibly tough. They need your support.
Many of our favorite neighborhood spots are fighting just to keep their doors open against rising costs and heavy corporate competition. Behind every “open” sign is a local family, neighbor, and dedicated team relying on these establishments for their livelihood. Supporting them is a team sport where every dollar counts: locally owned businesses keep money circulating in our neighborhood- creating three times as many jobs as major chains for the same revenue and strengthening our local tax base to fund schools and public services. Beyond economic impact, small businesses provide unique products, personalized care, and the vibrant character that makes our community feel like home.
Here is how you can make a huge difference today:
Shift your spending: Before ordering online or going to a big-box store, check if our local boutiques, services, or restaurants, have what you need.
Eat local: Choose a neighborhood mom-and-pop restaurant or local café for your morning coffee or family dinner night.
Buy gift cards: For services, retail, and restaurants. This provides immediate cash flow to businesses during slower seasons.
Support for free: Leave a positive review online, or like and share their posts on social media to help them reach new customers. Tell two friends who tell two friends, and so on.
Please support your local businesses and keep our community thriving.
