a new Jikoni is coming soon! Jikoni [Swahili] noun: kitchen

In Swahili, Jikoni means kitchen. At our core, that’s what we are.

No matter how you choose to pronounce it — our Zucchini & Feta Bhajias are an AfriCali twist on a Kenyan classic street food!

Typically made with potatoes, our zucchini fritters are combined in a chickpea flour batter with our butchers masala, fresh herbs & feta.

We serve them with our Kijani goddess dressing (Kijani means “green” in Swahili) for dipping and dragging!

May is your last chance to try our Spring menus — scroll to the end to see the full menu for our AfriCali dinner party on Saturdays 👉🏾

We’ve had some DM’s asking if our karakara pie can be frozen, and the answer is a resounding YES! ❄️

We recommend that you freeze your pie as soon as you get home. This way — no matter when your holiday events are — you’ll always have dessert ready in under 20 minutes.

To get your karakara pie in time for the holidays, head to jikoni.co to pre-order. Los Angeles pick-up dates are 12/14 and 12/21.

A holiday pie that doesn’t play it safe!

Karakara means “passionfruit” in Swahili, and our karakara pie is an East African take on the American key lime pie.

The graham cracker crust is swapped for gingersnaps, the filling is a tart and tropical passionfruit and key lime custard, and the cream cheese whip is finished with a bright hibiscus sugar.

If you’re looking for a lighter dessert to bring to your holiday potlucks, it doesn’t get better than our signature karakara pie.

Order online now at jikoni.co - Los Angeles pick-up dates are 12/14 and 12/21. Limited pies available.
