〰️ Design Panel Recap 〰️
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our panel discussion on Saturday .945 .945! We had a great time sharing the details of our process, and engaging in conversation with all those who attended.
🌳 Our installation, Discipline of Intuition, is intended to highlight the tension and dialogue between material, craft, and the human spirit. The artist talk by Chris Peck ( ) explored these themes and more. Our talk touched on architectural history, childhood influences, purity of concept, and collaborative design.
We got to go in dpeth about our practice with those who attended, and explore larger themes related to digital fabrication, design education and more with our panel of architects and designers.
With sincere gratitude,
Chris, Hannah, Jordan, Jessie and Ethan

〰️ 📸 We photograph our own tables 〰️
For this shoot, our team got busy moving around the pieces, adjusting lighting and figuring out angles that highlight the grain of the wood.
🌳 The Terri Table began after our client saw the original Hannah Table on display at My Zero Waste Store in Pasadena and wanted a smaller version designed for her own dining room.
🪵 A week later, she was in the shop selecting slabs from one of our 2017 fallen Live Oak trees. We’re excited to see this commission now living happily in its new home.

〰️ All NEW Collection: Rivian Showcase 〰️
Thank you to everyone who came out to see our newest work with !
🪵 This showcase included our new mixed material furniture, featuring nickel plated bases from water jet cut aluminum plate. The wood used for the entire collection comes from naturally fallen or removed trees from Los Angeles’ urban canopy, including our own supply of Coastal Live Oak and Eucalyptus reclaimed from past projects.
🌳 Offcuts from larger furniture builds inspired our design choices. We created these modular designs to utilize various scrap material, and make something beautiful from the smaller pieces that would have otherwise been wasted wood.
🪚 Our newest interlocking table bases are cut from 1/2” aluminum plate using water-jet fabrication. They are designed to be easily disassembled and combine function with artistic form.
We’re excited to continue developing these projects and finding new ways to combine fabrication with material reuse. ♻️
