Okiya means a place provided for young women (geiko or maiko at their first stage) to live or stay for a certain period of time to be taught and trained to become and entertain people as geisya. We named the store “OKIYA” because we put our heart and care into items and then send them off to people who appreciate the beauty of their presence.
