I’m so grateful to my friend for letting me make him this bookshelf. I’m proud of how it came out. Everything about it was done by hand, from the through tenons of the base to the dovetails in the drawers. The brought out the book matched figure of the drawers and gave the whole piece a soft sheen. It’s amazing how three 11’ pieces of cherry can became an heirloom.

A pair of shelves I just finished up for our bathroom. Curly sugar maple with a little rounding and some exterior 450 semi-gloss seems to have cured our storage problem!

Pretty excited for this new project! My best friend, moved into his new place after taking an incredible job as a personal trainer and needed a little bit of furniture. So here begins a solid cherry bookshelf. Day 1 was material selection, cutting to rough size, and carefully book matching every single panel. @ L.A. California
