Being a mom of 4 juggling everyone’s schedule can cause you to put yourself on the back burner. I spent my birthday at my oldest’s football game because those are the sacrifices moms make. My actual birthday celebration started today with a much needed facial. Between the pollution, dirt, and hormones my skin was desperate for this facial. My favorite things to do are self care and spending time with family. As a mom it’s important to know what you need when you’re doing it alone. Finding child care where you can enjoy yourself with no worries, losing sleep and sacrificing your needs for your children’s needs isn’t healthy but many times no other choice that you have. Your mental health matters because you’re primarily taking care of the kids, your needs matter, your happiness matters, your health matters. Make the time, find the sitter, love on yourself, congratulate yourself, take the vacation, and focus on your health because if momma falls apart, the family falls apart.
