So how would you approach someone who is jealous and is ruining the relationship?

I was with my ex for a 1.5 years. We brokw up for a few months and are trying to work things out. She is staying at her ex's house and is saying that my request of them not sleeping on the same bed is a demanding request. I trust her enough to be there because she says that she i going through some things and needs her help. I tried explaining its not a bad request or being demanding.
