Nate purchased his Momentum Café Cruiser, by Giant about 5–6 years ago in San Diego, and the bike had been sitting in storage for the past four years. He recently moved to the DTLA Arts District and was ready to explore his new surroundings. However, the bike had collected dust, the tires were flat, and it needed a full service before it was safe to ride again — that’s where we came in.
Nate texted us the day before, and we walked him through how our mobile service works. He was relieved to know he didn’t have to haul the bike anywhere or rearrange his weekend plans. We came directly to his building and got everything handled on-site.
We performed a full refurbishment:
• Installed new tubes
• Cleaned and degreased the entire bike
• Removed years of dust and grime
• Lubricated all moving parts
• Dialed in the brakes and gears
• Brought the bike back to a smooth, like‑new ride
After the test ride, Nate was genuinely surprised at how well the bike turned out. His friend even stopped by and said, “Wow — this looks like a new bike,” which absolutely made the day for mechanic Chris Duncan.
If you have a bike that’s been sitting, needs attention, or just isn’t riding the way it should, we’re happy to take care of it and get it rolling better than you remember.
Thanks again, Nate. Welcome to Los Angeles — and here’s to many new adventures on your freshly restored bicycle from Hoopty Bikes.

Connie’s Kona Rove Touring/Cross bike got the full reset it deserved yesterday. Cleaned up, tuned up, and back to rolling smooth.
We installed fresh shifter cables to replace the rough stock ones(covered in NT rust film they caused drag and made it hard to shift, so we opted for higher quality Shimano aftermarket. Then dialed in the shifting, adjusted the brakes, aligned the derailleur hanger, and wrapped it all with a full 40‑point bolt safety inspection and test ride.
Bike’s running tip‑top again — such a rad bike, and always great to keep quality bikes in the rotation.
