Sea Ranch through the lens of Mick Aure 🐟 Built in 1965 around the philosophy of “living lightly on the land,” the coastal community continued developing for decades.

The Sea Ranch was envisioned by Al Boeke and master-planned by Lawrence Halprin. Architects Charles Moore, Donlyn Lyndon, William Turnbull, Richard Whitaker, and Joseph Esherick designed its earliest buildings, completed in 1965–66.

Gorgeous 1966 Mercedes Benz 404 Unimog in custom burnt orange. 🍊

Original engine has been replaced with turbo diesel. Removable racing steering wheel so you never have to worry about it being stolen. 20 foot scissor lift hidden inside the bench in the truck bed. Fully operable with kill switch. Scissor lift can be operated by a hand switch underneath the truck as well as on the truck bed itself. Amazing sound system. GPS speedometer and updated electronics. Working heater. Massive heavy duty, remote controlled winches on the front and back end of the truck. Can get yourself or your friends out of any type of situation. Comfortable cruising speed of 45-50 mph. Working blinkers, horn, headlights, break lights. Massive, oversized tires with spare on the back. Laser cut UNIMOG metal on the tail as well. 4 speed original transmission with 21 total gears. Beautiful condition. Street legal and safety checked. Clear title. Magnificent toy, er machine. Incredible 1970 Mercedes Benz 406 Unimog in gold. Sold with a matching late 1960s Rokon Trailbreaker motorcycle strapped to the truckbed.

Extremely heavy duty and powerful Mercedes truck. Engine recently serviced and in excellent condition. Working blinkers, head lights, tail lights, horn, manual windows and quarter windows. Brakes in excellent condition with major stopping power for such a big vehicle. So much fun to drive. Street legal and passing safety check. Heavy duty remote controlled winches on the front and back of the truck to get you out of any situation you can imagine.

37,069 of these Unimogs were made in the Unimog plant in Gaggenau from 1963 to 1989. This was the first medium duty Unimog with more than 2x the engine power than the 401. Original diesel truck engine with 21 speed transmission. A snorkel was added onto the engine meaning this vehicle can be driven while submerged in water up to the hood while still feeding air to the engine. This vehicle was made to satisfy the demands in the early 1960s for a heavy duty Unimog to compete with the larger and more powerful agricultural tractors which had become so popular during the late 1950s in Germany. The Unimog was built for forestry and agricultural needs and has since been adopted into any field in which a rugged, timeless vehicle was needed.
