A lot happens between the first conversation and finished cabinetry.

We’re taking you inside the shop to show the engineering, problem-solving, and unexpected challenges behind a current build, plus what comes next.

Custom work is a process, and this is what that process looks like.

The most important part of our process happens before we ever touch our tools.

We start by listening and by learning how our clients live, what they need from their space, and what they want it to feel like. From there, every detail is considered and refined: storage, functionality, proportions, materials, and finishes, often down to fractions of an inch.

For this project, that meant working closely with Sanctuary Revealed Design and Nickelson Construction to bring together microshaker cabinetry, ribbed slat details, white oak, and highly intentional storage designed specifically for this family and for their daily rhythms.

We don’t just build nice cabinet boxes. We design beautiful solutions and systems around the people who will use it every day.

“Bespoke” means more than custom dimensions. It means listening, collaborating with our partners, revising, and refining until every detail feels like it was always meant to be there.

Commercial work still deserves custom-home attention to detail.

This Northern Colorado office project with Magnolia Building Company brought together high-end cabinetry, custom woodwork, and durable, functional design built for everyday use.

Finally wrapping up a high-end office space alongside Magnolia Building Company

The goal here was simple: create an environment that feels as good to use as it looks. Projects like this are a good reminder that commercial spaces don’t have to feel generic. With the right build team and the right millwork, an office can carry the same level of refinement people expect from a high-end home. We’re proud to have been part of this one.

This is a kitchen that was designed for more than just cooking.

Natural light, warm wood tones, and thoughtful custom cabinetry give this space a sense of calm while still making it ready for a full house. It’s a place to cook, host, slow down, and make the kind of memories that eventually become part of the home itself.

We’ll remember this one for a long time.

Some homes are more than beautiful spaces. They’re the result of the right people, the right vision, and an incredible amount of care coming together.

This project in Superior, Colorado was especially meaningful: a home created for a truly special family, brought to life through the combined efforts of an exceptional team of Northern Colorado craftsmen and professionals. From the contracting and bespoke cabinetry to the interior design, every element was considered not just on its own, but in how it would complement the home as a whole.

The result is something pretty remarkable. The craftsmanship, design, and function work in harmony here without any one element competing for attention.

This video is only a peek at some of our favorite details. The bigger vision was to create a haven, and a place where this family could step away from the daily hustle without ever having to leave home.

We hope this home will be lived in, loved, and passed down for generations.

This one was special.

A fully custom desk in white oak, finished with a true chemical ebonizing process for that deep, natural black you just can’t fake. Clean inset doors, a marble top, and a scalloped details that we created with a custom ellipse cutter, built specifically for this project. Every line, curve, and joint was intentional.

It was a pleasure building this piece for the showroom at our friends hutchhomeco who also played a key role in the design of the desk itself. We couldn’t be more excited about how this one turned out. Proud of the work, grateful for the collaboration, and honestly just really happy with the final result.

Jonathan is the kind of craftsman you want on the hard builds; the ones where precision matters and shortcuts don’t exist. He’s methodical and relentlessly detail-driven, and he approaches every cabinet, panel, and joint with the mindset of someone who understands how things should work, not just how they should look. We’re proud to have Jonathan on the Harris Timberworks team — building projects that are engineered with purpose and finished with care.

We couldn’t do what we do without our talented team, and we’d love for you to become acquainted. Meet Spencer.
