A lot of planning happens before the first cabinet is installed—and this binder helps bring it all together. 📋

Our installation binder puts layouts, elevations, design views, cabinet identification guidance, and shipping information in one place for the contractor to reference on site.

The goal is simple: make the details easier to find and help the installation team understand how the pieces fit into the finished design.

At Lokenvitz Design & Woodworking, contractor collaboration is part of the process. We want the people building your space to have clear, organized information to work from.

Beautiful results take teamwork—and thoughtful preparation.

Your home should feel like you.

This homeowner embraced the colors, patterns, and details they loved—and their personality comes through in every room.

Deep green cabinetry and a geometric backsplash give the kitchen its character. In the bathroom, a bold black-and-white patterned wall pairs with a soft blue, grey vanity for a completely different mood.

The rooms have their own identities, connected by an appreciation for color, contrast, and expressive details.

At Lokenvitz Design & Woodworking, we help bring those personal choices together so your home feels thoughtful, comfortable, and unmistakably yours.

What color or pattern would you love to use if you stopped worrying about what everyone else might think?

What’s inside your cabinets can make everyday life a little easier.

These are three storage solutions we love to incorporate when they fit a client’s needs:

🍽️ A plate organizer keeps dishes neatly arranged, with removable plate holders that can be carried to the table for easier setup.

☕ A coffee and appliance cabinet keeps everyday essentials within reach. Pocket doors tuck out of the way when open, and the continuous countertop makes accessing appliances easy. Close the doors, and everything is neatly concealed.

🥄 A cutlery drawer with a sliding upper tray organizes silverware above divided storage for larger utensils—making good use of the drawer’s depth.

At LDW, we plan storage around what you own and how you use it. Giving each cabinet a purpose helps the whole kitchen work better.

Which of these would you choose for your kitchen?

Storage works best when it matches what you own and where you use it. Deep drawers, landing zones, and purposeful cabinet interiors can change how a kitchen feels.

This time, I’m designing for my own home! ✏️🪵

I’m building a furniture-style vanity for our bathroom, and it starts here—with sketches, planning, and pieces coming together in the shop.

My background in woodworking shapes how I approach design: thinking through how something will look, how it will function, and how it will be built. It’s especially fun to put that into practice on a personal project.

I’ll share more as this vanity takes shape. Would you choose a furniture-style vanity for your bathroom?

A cramped kitchen beside an oversized entry room—this home had space, but the layout wasn’t giving the family what they needed.

The dining table was squeezed into a kitchen corner, while the separate entry had become a catchall for everyday belongings.

We reimagined the two rooms together. Removing the dividing wall brought light from the entry windows into the kitchen and allowed us to create purposeful places for cooking, gathering, and coming home.

The new layout included:
• A large dining table in front of the windows
• Additional refrigerator and freezer columns for locally sourced meats and produce
• A dedicated mudroom area for coats, bags, and shoes

In the adjoining office, a bar with rich wood cabinetry and a brick-look backdrop carried the design into the next room while giving the husband the more masculine feel he wanted.

Every decision started with how this family lives. That’s what makes a kitchen truly functional.

What would make the biggest difference in your home: more room to gather, better food storage, or a dedicated drop zone?

This home was inherited, and the homeowners lived with it as it was for a long time. Eventually, the wife decided she was ready for a change—and ready to make the home truly feel like hers.

As they approached the empty-nest stage, she envisioned a grand kitchen that would make a statement within their open-concept main level. Her bold personality inspired the deep green cabinetry, paired with creamy quartz countertops, a geometric marble backsplash, and black and gold accents throughout.

Of course, a beautiful kitchen still needs to function well. We incorporated a pot filler, pop-up island outlets, pull-out trash storage, pan organizers, and generous drawers to make everyday life easier.

The result is a kitchen that honors the home’s history without being limited by it. It is bold, luxurious, highly functional—and completely personal to the homeowner.

Could you see yourself choosing cabinetry this bold?
