General contractor building it all from custom cabinets to porches and bathrooms while raising a family in Matthews, NC. You dream it, we build it!

Splinter Therapy started when I could see that my wife's obsession with the farmhouse look frequently seen on Fixer Upper was going to cost me an arm and a leg if we purchased these dream-pieces from bigger stores. A little bit of paint can go a long way. My little helper helped me take out a small arched opening which helped open up my little home gym. Pretty proud of this little room and him.

My biggest project thus far. This one always kept me thinking, will this be practical for my client’s needs. The main thing was the drop down ironing board and a desk that she can sketch and do water colors on. I was able to keep the ironing board at the front of the cabinet but then what do I do with the dead space behind it? Well you make it useable. A hidden door that allows her to store more thing back there. From the first copy to final product there were about 20 other versions that just didn’t seem right. Glad to have this client be so flexible and allow me to create a functional storage built in cabinets. Also some shiplap to boot.
