McChord Thrift Shop Non-Profit Thrift and Consignment Store, serving our local military community through welfare grants, scholarships, and volunteer opportunities.

The McChord Thrift Shop is a 501(c)4 non-profit run almost entirely by volunteers and a small paid staff. The Thrift Shop aims to give around $25,000 annually and all proceeds are distributed to the club to provide scholarships for Air Force family members, and to support various charities in our community. This past year we were excited to have been able to award $21,500 in scholarships! This would not have been possible if it had not been for our fantastic and faithful volunteers & wonderful customers. Not only can you find a bargain, but you can also make some extra cash for yourself by consigning items that you no longer need. 65% of the sales price is yours to keep and the other 35% goes to the Thrift Shop. Just think, you'll save the hassle of organizing a garage sale, clean out your clutter, and help provide scholarships to worthy individuals all at once!

As rainy season kicks up in Western Washington, this is your yearly reminder to please be mindful of when and how you drop off donations. We do not have space to dry out donations, so most donations that get wet end up getting thrown away.

If the weather forecast is showing a lot of wind and rain, please wait to drop things off. During inclement weather, the best time to drop off donations is 8:30 am Monday through 2:00pm Thursday.

If you are dropping donations off outside of business hours, please make sure to tuck anything as far under the dock as possible.

Every year people are shocked at the price of our donation coats. Five dollars?! Yep, five dollars.

We know how expensive new coats are. And we know that we have people coming into JBLM from all over the country, who may not have been prepared for Fall & Winter in Western Washington.

So, please stop in for a $5 coat (or $2 for kids coats!). We are putting out multiple racks every single day.

(Consignment coats are priced as marked and not included in any sales)
