Someone came into our shop the other day. Our shop is called The Shed at 205 East 4th Street in McCook, Nebraska. The man asked me why in the world we would sell something so dirty and not worth anything.

We did not have a chance to clean the table, as we just pulled it out of our truck. Yes, it was dusty and still dirty, but I'd like to answer his question.

The item he was pointing to was an old table, probably around 1900 or 1910, so that table is almost a 125 years old.

Underneath the dust and dirt was an amazing all oak wooden table that is often called a Library Table. It measures approxinately 50 inches in length, 30" in depth, and 30" in height.

We do clean everything we bring into the shop, but we do not restore items. That is a completely different ballgame. But this table can easily be sanded down, restained any color you wish and with a varnish finish it will make this table worth $350.00. We are selling it for $34.99. We bought it so someone else can restore this gem of a table, and it will be beautiful once again.

So, if you can see the beauty of this item, come on in and try and understand why we sell old items that have so much potential, and if you are not afraid to get your hands dirty with sawdust and stain, it might be worth your time.

Thanks for looking and understanding why in the world we wouild sell something that is so dirty and dusty -- because it is a beautiful piece of furniture that once someone spends a little time working with their hands, will be beautiful again.

We have for sale at The Shed in McCook, Nebraska some awesome autographed items of Husker Stars in stock,

This particular one is of DAVE HUMM, Quarterback for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers from 1971 to 1974. He was on Coach Devaney's second National Champion Team in 1971. Then in 1973, he became the Starting Quarterback for Coach Tom Osborne's first Nebraska team and he graduated after the 1974 season. He want on to a career in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Colts.

Humm's record as starting quarterback was 18-5-1 and he helped with three bowl game wins, Orange, Cotton, and Sugar.
This photo is an official University of Nebraska Sports Information Photo. It was autographed in 1973 with a ball point pen. The autograph would be rated a 3 in a scale of 10, due to the lightness of the ball point pen, still a wonderful autograph for any Husker Collector. It also comes with a COA from Cripple Creek Auctions and Appraisals.

We are asking $29.99 and we can ship it anywhere in the U.S.A. for $7.50.
