Admittedly, I’ve been super lazy with the woodworking lately. Hanging with the kids, riding the motorcycle and drinking beer have been a bigger priority. But I have some projects that I’ve been putting off that have to get done before the new year. The first of about 20 cutting boards is done. Finished this one with and could not be happier with the outcome.
One of my favorite parts of any job. The smoke..........

Got the finish on the pallet table done, finally. I’m collaborating with my good friend who will be designing and creating the legs. I’m excited to see what he comes up with! The top measures about 100” x 50” and the plan is to make it a bar top high table.

The resin river table is finally finished! Pretty excited by how it came out. This table measures 74”L x 36”W x 30”H. DM me for pricing!
The first coat of Osmo Polyx-Oil satin looks pretty damn cool. Tomorrow I’ll put a coat of Osmo Polyx-Oil in gloss down. I’m pretty excited about how this table is shaping up!

The underside of the resin river table has been finished. An initial coat of Osmo Polyx-Oil in satin and then a second coat in Gloss. I’m excited to get it flipped over once it’s dried and get the Osmo applied to the top on Wednesday.
Using the underside of the resin river table to test a few different finishes. So far I like all three of them. The and the really make the epoxy mesmerizing, but I’ve always loved the look of the Arm-R-Seal on walnut. Decisions, decisions. Feel free to weigh in!
Making progress on the sanding. Would probably be going quicker if I didn’t keep stopping to do this, but got to raise the grain a bit so not a complete time waster. 😂

Decided to do a quick check with some mineral spirits after some initial sanding. That resin turned out pretty damn cool. Let me know what you think!!!
Raising grains and getting an idea of what the finish of this coffee table is going to look like. This piece is cut from the same slab of California Black as the black resin river table that I’m working on and I envision them residing in the same house at some point. They’ll both go up for sale at the same time so feel free to slide into my DMs if you’re interested.
