This space came together beautifully. The clients nailed the chair selection—clean, modern, and the contrast really lets the slab shine. It’s a perfect example of how the right chairs can completely elevate a table and the entire room.

One of those slabs you don’t come across often.
This Monkeypod table was delivered to Chandler over the weekend — photos don’t do it justice! This one was just under 9’ long and 40” wide. The bases powder coat color was matched to their new dining room chairs and designed by the client. Such a beautiful home!
16 feet of Oregon Black Walnut… and one shot to get it right.
Nerve-racking? A little.
But with the right setup—it sliced like butter.
This one’s going to be special. Stay tuned.
Applying my first coat of 1101 on this amazingly figured Monkeypod table. This one comes in at 108”x40”. Once this coat cures, I typically follow up with a light sand using a gray pad followed up with 2-3 coats of their 3043 depending on the sheen I want.

Hard to beat the character of Parota.
This slab has incredible movement through the grain, and once the finish went on the entire table lit up with warmth and depth. Pieces like this are the reason I love working with these massive solid slabs — every piece tells its own story.
