Art Basel Events We're Pretty Excited About It's here! Art Basel is back, baby, and Miami is flinging the doors open for more exhibitions than you can shake an artist-editioned stick at.

Gustavo Martini is a rising star on the Brazilin furniture design scene. He drew inspiration from the natural surroundings of his studio in Rio de Janeiro's Botanical Garden to create the Gana stool.

Rio designer Zanini de Zanine combined his love of sport with design to create the Skate chair. We love it, don't you?

NDT Brazil - Ricardo Rodrigues is inspired by the simplicity of living in the country and being in touch with nature. His cart is made in recycled steel that is treated for indoor or outdoor use and features contemporary lines for streamlined spaces. His Fruit Stand is an update on an old fashioned idea and with its clean lines, it is well suited for a gourmet kitchen.

The hooks used to hang lassos by gauchos ranchers in southern Brazil inspired architect Ilse Lang to create the Laço coat hanger. Built in steel and covered by a cotton-based rope, the hangers can be used individually or grouped together.

Promising young designer Padilha prides himself in being a carpenter first. In his work, he seeks to rescue traditional techniques and use them through a contemporary viewpoint. The Trad tables were created using remnants of wood left over in the workshop.
