There are moments in business that go beyond transactions…
Moments that remind you why you do what you do.

Meeting Ilse Crawford was one of those moments for us.

Not just because of her global recognition in design, from London to Stockholm and across the United States…
But because of how deeply her philosophy aligns with what we believe at and at

We spent time together in London… and again in Bali during our global Hästens gathering.

Not in boardrooms—but over breakfast, lunch, and long conversations about something that rarely gets enough attention in our industry:

How design can actually support the human body, calm the mind, and improve quality of life.

Her collaboration with Hästens—the “Being” headboard and organic linen pieces made from pure flax—isn’t about decoration.

It’s about:

* Creating environments that reduce stress
* Supporting deeper, more natural sleep
* Bringing the body back into balance

Shortly after, her partner Oscar Peña started collaborating with our team with clients in Miami.

To us, that meant more than business.
It meant alignment.

Today, as more people begin to understand that true luxury is wellbeing, this kind of collaboration becomes even more meaningful.

Grateful for the connection.
And even more excited for what’s ahead.

Your kid is getting dragged to another tournament this weekend.

Meanwhile, they barely got 6 hours of sleep last night.
That’s not an investment in their athletic future.
It’s more likely a gamble with their health.

A landmark study published in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics (Milewski et al., 2014) tracked 112 adolescent athletes over 21 months and found something every sports parent needs to hear...

Athletes averaging less than 8 hours of sleep per night were 1.7x more likely to be injured than those who slept 8 or more hours.

And in that study, sleep duration wasn’t just a predictor of injury...
it was the single strongest independent predictor.

Above training volume.
Above number of sports played.
Above year-round participation.

We live in a culture that glorifies the grind.
More reps. More games. More exposure. More tournaments.

That mentality does have a cost...
and it’s being paid by developing bodies that haven’t finished growing yet.

Here’s what’s happening biologically:

growth hormone...the primary driver of tissue repair and adaptation...
is released in its highest concentrations during deep sleep.
Cut sleep short, and that window closes.

Add impaired reaction time, degraded neuromuscular coordination, and reduced decision-making on top of that, and you’ve got an athlete who is slower, weaker, and less protected.

Not because they’re out of shape.
Because they’re under-recovered.

The recommendation for adolescent athletes isn’t 7 hours.
It isn’t even 8.

Most sports medicine and sleep researchers recommend 8–10 hours per night... because these kids are also growing humans with developing nervous systems.

Before we book that flight to another showcase, maybe the most high-leverage thing we can do for a young athlete’s development isn’t more reps.

It’s more sleep.
