Marc and Shannon are in Washington, DC this week for the IHG Owners Association Summit!

We joined the Association as an Allied Member last year to help more IHG owners make FF&E easier, bringing years of experience with IHG brands to the table.

And we’ve been busy! Our team currently has twelve Holiday Inn Expresses, three Garners, two Candlewood Suites, two Vocos and one Avid project in the works. 😊

Former paint factory turned hotel ✨ Hotel Indigo Madison Downtown

For this project, GBA drew design inspiration from the landmark Mautz Paint Company building’s history. Colorful murals, nostalgic touches and modern furnishings complemented the original architecture, with the design story extending into Palette Bar & Grill.

FII handled FF&E procurement and installation for both Hotel Indigo Madison Downtown and the restaurant, helping bring the team’s vision to life.

Looking forward, we asked our designers which interior trend feels overhyped. One answer came back in all caps: “MINIMALISM!”

Their 2027 prediction? More layers, more texture and more personality. Think patterned upholstery, sculpted carpet, tactile fabrics and furniture with a little more character.

In hotels, the trick is making those details work together. Mix the scale of patterns, balance bold pieces with quieter textures, and give guests a space that feels warm and considered.

Our team may be divided on fringe, but they agree on this: details are back.

A little look at what’s in progress at The Union League Club of Chicago!

With much of our work focused on branded hotels, a fully custom project brings a different kind of challenge, and a lot of creative opportunity.

This one has 37 different room types, which means plenty of time spent planning, coordinating and making sure every detail works for this unique property.

The design refresh takes its cues from the history of 65 W Jackson Blvd, pairing warm woods, natural colors and classic patterns with layered textures, materials and local imagery. The goal is to honor the Club’s traditional character while creating a fresh experience for today’s guests.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes on this one. We’re excited to watch it come together!

FII turned 50, and we went a little overboard on the balloons. And the cheese.

We invited our suppliers, friends and family over for an open bar, a huge charcuterie spread and a look at our team’s LEGO creations. Somewhere in there, a Polaroid camera made the rounds.

A very fun way to celebrate 50 years in FF&E with the people who’ve been part of it. Thanks for spending the evening with us! 🥂
