Day 0️⃣3️⃣ - Got to the second checkpoint and I noticed some valve train noise, pulled the valve covers and found several damaged exhaust rocker arm roller tips. Fortunately, we were at the Motion Raceworks checkpoint, and got the bushings machined to replace the needle bearings that went bad. Shout-out to Dennis. Finished the drive that night and decided not to risk hurting the engine any further. Thanks to our buddies Mike and Keith for making it more fun then it should have been and a huge thanks to all of my followers for their support this year!!

Dave is heading out to Illinois for Hot Rod Drag Week, picking up Shane on the way. Just like last years class, his target time is a consistent 8.5 seconds without going faster. The specific routes from track to track have checkpoints and total approx 800 miles with the car and small trailer only…let’s do this!! 🏁
