A Lake Zurich client contacted us about a dark brown leather sofa with two large seat cushions, two back cushions, and light contrast stitching along the cushion seams and armrests. The seat cushions showed visible wrinkling and loss of support, making the seating area look uneven. We worked on the seat cushion support so the cushions could sit flatter and look smoother again. The repair focused on the seat area, while the rest of the sofa stayed intact where possible.

Cushion filling and support issues in leather furniture are often addressed as part of sagging furniture repair. In many cases, improving the cushion support can help the sofa look more even without replacing the entire piece. Send us a photo of your sagging sofa or cushion, and we will quote the work from it.

This leather couch had damaged stitching along the seam, with fraying and worn material visible around the stitch line. We handle leather couch seam stitch repair for areas where the stitching has started to fray, loosen, or wear along the seam. For this project, we repaired the damaged seam area and worked to blend the repair more closely with the surrounding leather surface.

The goal was to address the damaged stitch line while keeping the rest of the couch intact where possible. Zorka Leather & Upholstery Restoration is based in Mundelein and serves the Chicago metro area. Send us a photo of the seam or stitch damage to request a leather couch repair estimate.

Leather couch seam repair came up on a dark, pebbled leather couch where the panels had pulled apart along a vertical seam. The split left lighter inner material visible through the opening.

We repaired the open seam and brought the panels back together so the damaged area looked cleaner and more even. The repaired seam now blends more closely with the surrounding leather surface.

Color matching and finish blending can help repaired areas look closer to the surrounding leather tone, especially on darker couches where open seams and lighter exposed areas stand out. Send us a picture of the ripped leather seam to request an estimate.

This sofa had a structural issue inside the frame, which affected the way the seat area was supported. From the outside, the sofa still looked usable, but the problem was underneath.

For this project, we repaired the damaged frame area and reinforced the support so the sofa could sit more evenly and feel more stable again. The goal was to correct the internal support problem without replacing the entire piece.

Frame issues are not always obvious from the outside. If your sofa feels uneven, sinks in one area, or does not feel properly supported, the problem may be inside the frame or support system. Send us a few photos of your sofa to request an estimate.

Worn leather on an armrest goes two ways over time — it either scuffs and dulls, or the top layer lifts off in patches. We handle leather armrest repair. A customer sent us pictures of a brown leather couch armrest where the finish had peeled away in large patches, leaving lighter areas exposed. The after photo shows the same armrest restored to a smoother, more even-looking finish. We repaired the damaged surface and recolored it to blend with the surrounding leather. The color match was the part that took the longest, and the repaired area now blends more closely with the original finish. We cover Vernon Hills and the surrounding area. Send us pictures of your worn leather couch armrest to request an estimate.

This ottoman had lost support through the center, leaving the top uneven, wrinkled, and sunken instead of flat and comfortable. In many cases, the problem is not the outside fabric — it is the support system underneath.

For this project, we repaired the internal webbing support so the ottoman could sit flatter and hold its shape more evenly again. The original upholstery stayed in place, while the structure underneath was corrected.

Sagging ottomans, couch cushions, and seating areas do not always need full replacement. Sometimes the right repair is inside the piece.

Uneven color loss and surface wear on a leather sectional can develop slowly. It happens gradually until one day you notice the seat cushions have faded to a grayish-tan while the back cushions and arms remain noticeably darker.

This leather sectional repair and recoloration project in Naperville brought the piece back to a richer, more even color across the visible surfaces. Seat cushions, back cushions, and arms appear more closely matched in the after panel.

For this Naperville client, we handled the work in the home — no shop drop-off and no need to transport the sectional. We used a wide selection of samples to help achieve a close color match.

Send us a photo of your leather furniture to request a free estimate and discuss repair or recoloration options.

Here’s what foam cushion replacement can look like mid-job.

The left panel shows a seat cushion that has lost its support and formed a deep indentation. The right panel shows the replacement foam prepared beside the chair, ready for installation.

For Barrington homeowners, we offer something most repair services don't: Try Before You Buy foam testing. You can test the foam firmness before it is cut and installed, helping you choose the feel that works best for your cushion.

Send us photos of the piece, and we’ll prepare an estimate based on them. No separate in-home estimate visit is needed, and you can review the foam firmness before installation.

A set of dining chairs had cracked, crazed, and peeling upholstery that made the whole set look worn. For a Wilmette family not far from the Bahai House of Worship, we reupholstered the full set. The after photo shows four of the restored chairs lined up in fresh material, with the dark wood frames retained. The before panel shows the original covering with extensive cracking and peeling.

Material selection is part of the process. We bring hundreds of samples in a range of textures and tones so you can choose an option that works with your dining room. A full dining chair set is one of those reupholstery jobs where the result is immediately visible every single day. This one was worth it.

Send a photo of your set and pick your material with us.

The seat had a rough, sand-colored patch near the center, with significant surface wear and color loss that stood out against the surrounding dark charcoal finish. Because the damage was in a highly visible seating area, the contrast was especially noticeable.

This job was completed in a Glenview home near The Glen Town Center. We repaired the worn area and restored a more even dark charcoal-gray finish, helping the repaired section blend more closely with the surrounding surface.

We use a wide selection of material samples to help achieve a close color match. Many furniture repairs can be completed in the client’s home, often in a single visit.

Send us a few photos of the damaged area to request a free, no-obligation estimate.
