The Powell’s

Not just another project by Ace Cabinetry, not just another client that came to Ace for cabinets, rather a house that we are at quite often and people that are like family. When Doug and Kelly started talking about building a bardominum I was included in the earliest conversations. When they decided they would GC the project themselves, I offered to help out in anyway I could. I have a list of very solid subcontractors from my days as a custom builder that I was eager to share with them whenever they were in need of a particular trade. When it came time for the cabinets, Ace was there for them. We sat down and created a design with them that met their needs and wants perfectly. Not only did we build and install their cabinets, we also finished (painted) them as well providing a turnkey service to our beloved friends. My favorite part of the project was the built in chest of drawers that I made for their master bedroom closet. They are a set of chest of drawers topped with open shelving that were made from quarter sawn white oak and finished with gunstock stain. I like to think this was one of their favorite things too! Another thing we did for them was install a two step crown molding on the top of the kitchen cabinets, this really made them pop. I am proud of how the project turned out and I am very happy that the Powell’s love their new forever home.
