Just finished this custom walnut desk, handcrafted to showcase the natural beauty. From the rich walnut tones to the built-in raised shelf and clean, timeless design, every detail was thoughtfully created for our client’s space.

Built solid. Built custom. Built to last.

We absolutely love how this one turned out, and Olive seems pretty happy with her beautiful new home. Every piece we build at Solidgrain Furniture Co. is handcrafted with quality, functionality, and style in mind — creating pieces that blend seamlessly into your home while giving your pets a space of their own.

Thank you for supporting our small business and trusting us to bring your vision to life. We truly love creating custom pieces that become part of your home and family for years to come.

I don’t think we’ve ever done a formal introduction to the man behind Solidgrain Furniture Co. — meet TJ Wiley.

TJ’s passion for woodworking started years ago alongside his dad, learning the craft, the skill, and the attention to detail that turned into the business you see today. What began as a passion quickly became a talent for creating custom pieces that are not only beautiful, but built to last for generations.

From luxury custom furniture and statement fireplaces to office builds, built-ins, custom dog kennels, and one-of-a-kind designs — if you can dream it, he can build it. Every piece is handcrafted with precision, quality, and pride.

One of my favorite things about watching TJ work is seeing the amount of care he puts into every single project. He doesn’t just build furniture — he creates pieces that become part of someone’s home and story.

Solidgrain Furniture Co. is truly built on craftsmanship, creativity, and passion.

The website is up! This has been a long time coming, and I’m trying to increase my online presence.

I’ll admit, I’m terrible about asking for reviews. If you had work done I’d greatly appreciate it though!! Either on Google or Facebook.

I made the decision to change the name of Against the Grain Woodworks—This is a decision I’ve weighed for months.

As the brand evolves, I wanted something more distinctive. A name that carries weight, stands apart online, and reflects the level of craftsmanship behind every piece.

This isn’t just a new name—it’s a refinement of the vision.

Built with purpose. Designed to last. Made to stand alone.

The old name wasn’t built to stand out online or carry the weight of where this brand is going. This one is. It’s sharper, more distinct, and built to be recognized.

No shortcuts. No compromises. Just bold, high-end work that speaks for itself.
