Knotted Pines Woodwork & Custom Designs Hey there!! I'm David, a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran and a former senior-level manager in the wireless service industry.

I am a husband, father to two adult children and one ambitious teenager, and a self-taught woodworker. I build rustic farmhouse style furniture and various wood crafts using basic power tools and store-bought supplies and hoping to bring a southern charm one home at a time. I don't have any formal training in the trades, unless you count Pinterest, Google and YouTube University. (I’m not one to brag, but I have a knack for googling things.) A lot of the skills I've picked up along the way are a result of jumping in, figuring things out, failing, and trying again (problem-solving is one of my favorite pastimes).

Once the flooring of a century-old North Carolina church, this beautiful pine now has a new life as a custom dining set made especially for Tina.

Knotted Pines used the reclaimed lumber for the tabletop, chair seats, and bench top, then added hidden storage to make the set as functional as it is meaningful.

There’s just something special about preserving a piece of history and turning it into something a family can enjoy for years to come.

Here’s to old wood, new memories, and furniture with a story.

When Michelle and Tony returned to Knotted Pines, they had one goal in mind: complete the ultimate bedroom retreat.
To complement their custom bedroom sets, they added hand-crafted dressers that brought a whole new layer of warmth, depth, and timeless style to their space. Nothing beats seeing our custom pieces come together in a home, especially when clients come back for more!

Home sweet home just got a cozy upgrade!

When Alyssa moved into her new place, bringing in those warm, rustic farmhouse vibes was top priority. I had so much fun crafting a custom 4-piece living room set to pack in all the cozy, plus a matching dining set to complete the look.

Welcome home, Alyssa!

Our loyal customer Amber was ready to level up her space, this time tackling the entryway and dining room. To perfectly compliment the custom gray-toned pieces we built for her before, she went with a sleek, bold black finish this time around.

There is no bigger compliment than a returning client! 🙌

Amber loved her existing coffee table set, but needed a custom TV stand built to match—and it had to perfectly house her fireplace insert.

Now, her living space is officially complete, cozy, and coordinated. Thank you for trusting me with your home, Amber! 🛠️🔥

Ryan and Tay were on a mission to level up the farmhouse vibe in their dining space, and they knew exactly what they wanted. They chose our highly popular Knotted Pines dining table set to bring that cozy, welcoming warmth into the heart of their home.

To add a beautiful modern twist (and some serious durability!), they topped it off with a sleek glass overlay. The result? Absolute perfection. 🌟
