Stiletto Studios’ Short Rest chair — a miniature adaptation of the earlier Consumer’s Rest lounge chair, originally built from a stolen shopping cart in 1983.
Part object trouvé, part critique of booming consumer culture in the 1980s, the piece sits somewhere between conceptual art and functional design.
Children, meanwhile, simply see the perfect chair.

Charles Eames mentioned the construction principle of the shopping cart as one of the inspirations behind the Wire Chair.
