Since the 17th century, Kakiemon porcelain has carried a unique legacy of luminous milky-white craftsmanship. Nearly 400 years later, these traditions continue to inspire modern living in subtle and beautiful ways.

In collaboration with the Kakiemon Kiln Tokyo Shop, AREA New York presents an exhibition that reimagines this heritage alongside contemporary furniture—where tradition meets everyday life.

Our bar stool A-5 is featured at , a modern, authentic Thai restaurant in the hip neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn.

With its classic cow-horn design, the A-5 sets the perfect mood for the bar—its bold curves echoing the restaurant’s industrial decor.

Much like the A-5, this Michelin-recommended spot doesn’t hold back on flavor or heat. Located at 321 Starr St, it’s the kind of place where you can make a statement—sitting on our iconic stool while savoring food and drinks made for the sophisticated palate.

We decorated a client’s apartment in Paris to complement the existing wooden beams. The natural oak A-10 chairs and live edge wood table blend seamlessly with the architecture, while the darker walnut A-27 lounge chair adds contrast. A splash of color comes from the UMEBON coffee table, and the YUKIMI display cabinet brings a sense of calm to the space.

floor lamp BONBORI is the perfect accent for today’s modern interiors. Its traditional curvature softens contemporary lines, while its gentle glow adds mood, tone, and a quiet sense of presence to the space.
