Introducing our Wide Board Oak Table: a solid white-oak dining table made from Appalachian-grown timber, inspired by our love of early American farm tables and the sense of abundance in their wide boards.
Most solid-wood tabletops are assembled from many narrow boards, then stained and sprayed to look uniform. Ours is made from only four or five individually selected boards, each measuring seven to twelve inches wide. Long, sound boards at the upper end of that range are uncommon, and using so few allows the grain to travel across the table with unusual breadth and calm. You see more of each tree, with fewer interruptions from one board to the next.

A three drawer cherry dresser that has cured nicely in this sunny bathroom

After over a year in development, we’re excited to share our first upholstered piece: the Rolled Arm Sofa. We’ve remained true to the proportions that gave George Howard’s 1866 classic its enduring appeal, paying particular attention to the delicate, tapering curves of the arms and mirroring those lines in the base of the sofa.

We partnered with Vanguard Furniture in North Carolina to develop a handmade solid maple frame with white oak or walnut legs, eight-way hand-tied springs, burlap seat deck, and wool trim padding. The cushions combine a 95:5 blend of traceable American feather and down with three-inch organic latex cores, giving them loft and resilience without polyurethane foam or chemical fill. So soft they’ll leave an impression of your bottom when you get up…Available in cream twill or your own material.

Our redware collection is handmade by West Fork Pottery with wild clay dug near the studio in the Appalachian hills.
