Join SE-SL and LBA next Thursday, October 19, for an expert panel discussion on blockchain technology.
The blockchain has become inescapable in 2017, but is it a seismic shift or a passing fad? How does it affect the way we do business, and what are the implications for legal practitioners? And also...what exactly is the blockchain?
We'll start with these questions and then dive into smart contracts, Initial Coin Offerings, and optimal regulatory frameworks.

The Grunin Center for Law and Social Entrepreneurship is seeking one 1L, one 2L, and one 3L student for the inaugural Social Enterprise Tracker and Mapping Research Assistant Position. This is a paid position.
The Social Enterprise Tracker and Mapping Research Assistants will be responsible for keeping the Social Enterprise Tracker up to date with respect to the laws and regulations that are shaping the types of legal forums available to social enterprises in the US. Research Assistants will also be involved in the research and mapping of the current state of social entrepreneurship and impact investing activities across US law schools. Research Assistants will also develop an annual report on “The State of Law and Social Enterprise” that they will present at a spring lunch event (starting in 2018). There will also be an opportunity for Research Assistants to help with the strategic plan for the expansion of the Social Enterprise Tracker.
Student Leaders of the Social Enterprise & Startup Law Group will be reviewing the applications and making recommendations to the Co-Directors of the Grunin Center.
