Figured I’d share a few renderings of some of the projects we have coming up at RivenWood. There are some really fun builds in this group, and I’m looking forward to seeing each one go from an idea on a screen to a finished piece in the shop.

One thing I’ve always taken pride in is that everything we build is truly one of a kind.

We don’t have a handful of standard designs that we change the size, color or a few accents on and then call “custom.” We start from scratch.

Every project is designed around the individual client—their space, their needs, their style, and sometimes an idea that’s never been built before.

A walnut and olivewood wall installation. A custom poker table. Mission-style furniture. Custom cabinetry. Architectural fireplace work. Even turning unused space beneath a staircase into a custom wine room.

They’re completely different projects, and that’s exactly what I love about what we do.

New dust collector picked up today.. we upgraded from a 1.5hp to 3hp unit with self cleaning filters and extra chip collection drums for the drum sander and the planer... This should make the machines more efficient and the dust collector run cleaner(If that's such a thing, lol)

With the help of another woodartist and to have access to someone who had a larger laser thank I do, we've been able to create a larger 36" wide x 30" tall 5 layer cut out of a sea turtle for my newborn sons bedroom.. I still have to make the frame which will be made from quartersawn white oak and have inset led lighting ... But I just had to share how cool this thing is.. just look at the underwater scene in the turtles shell.. so cool!

Not a fun day when your dust collector catches on fire... The capacitor in the motor decided to burn up and fill the shop with smoke.
Luckily I had someone else.qorkign in the shop who picked up on it before I did bc 5 more min and the flames would have burned into the ceiling.
Luckily the fire was contained to the motors power box.. but that lovely plastic fire smell doesn't have the same ring as fresh cut cedar lol...
