In collaboration with Brad Ascalon we have created a collection of innovative, beautifully designed tables with a long lifespan and minimal environmental footprint.

Sosia is building on Doppio’s aesthetic design and features different functional characteristics. Appropriately named after the Italian word for ‘doppelgänger’, Sosia showcases the same double horizontal T-structures on the frame and chamfered table top as Doppio. However, Sosia’s unique frame allows for an incredibly innovative flat-pack solution, which reduces its box size, and therefore, the carbon footprint from shipping by more than 80%. It’s also a very cost effective solution that makes the table accessible to more people.

“We loved the idea of exploring different sustainability stories with different versions of the same table,” says Ascalon, whose studio has long advocated for less, but better products.

The Dees chair features a slim silhouette with a forward-leaning profile that gives it a dynamic look.

Due to an innovative steel bracket that supports the entire chair, it’s extremely sturdy. In addition to its structural function, the steel bracket also serves as a distinctive design detail. When the chair is placed by the table and you see the backside, the beautiful shape becomes visible and adds a lot of character.

We believe the transition to a circular economy is the most effective response to the imminent threat of global warming. The single most important thing we can do as a furniture company is to make furniture that lasts. Should a leg on a chair after 15 years become unusable, you can replace it. Likewise, you will be able to order a tabletop, fabric cover or even felt pads. All components are available with reasonable pricing and we make it easy to replace parts. You can also break each product down to the last component and recycle the materials if the day comes when it has served its purpose.

In collaboration with Norwegian designer Lars Tornøe we’re introducing the Dees table and chair.

Dees has a strong Scandinavian identity. Taking its name from its distinctive D-shaped profiles, the Dees collection features sculpted details and exposed tree rings rarely seen in furniture design. Modern wood-working techniques make it possible to achieve these exceptional details typically reserved for custom-made furniture.
