Model J16 Rocking Chair by Hans J. Wegner for FDB Møbler, Denmark, 1960s.
A red-lacquered example of the J16, originally designed by Wegner in 1944 and one of his earliest chairs put into production. The form pairs a tall spindle back with gently curved arms and a crested top rail — a Danish reading of the English Windsor chair, filtered through the restraint of Shaker furniture that Wegner studied in the collection of the Designmuseum Danmark. This example was sourced with a natural tan leather seat cushion and sling-style backrest, layered over the hand-woven paper cord seat. The red lacquer was produced for a brief period and is less commonly seen than the natural and black-lacquered finishes.
Available. 24.81″ W × 36.62″ D × 42.13″ H. Seat Height: 16.93″.

A Pair of Oversize Pottery Lamps, France, 1960s.
This pair of large format table lamps features bulbous, gourd-shaped bodies in a mottled cobalt blue glaze. Each lamp is decorated with hand-incised teardrop panels enclosing starbursts alongside feathered detailing in pale olive and oxblood tones. The folk motifs and earthy palette reflect the studio pottery tradition of 1960s French makers, who merged artisanal craft with a modernist sensibility.
Available.
